Lincoln Historical Society Facts

Facilities:
For many years the Historical Society held meetings in the town library until the former Primary School was offered to them. They relocated there and the Lincoln Historical Society opened its first museum in the building in 1974. A few years later, however, the two demolished the building to allow for construction of a senior citizens' home, and so the Historical Society moved back into the library.

In 1996 the historic Little Red Schoolhouse was offered to the Society if the schoolhouse could be moved, which the Society did. Recently the Lincoln Historical Society has leased the Corro House from the town for $1/year for 10 years. The Corro House is one of the more historic buildings in the town and is large enough to hold the Society's museum.
